The other was the good old cocked-and-locked, known in the 1911 and Browning P-35 pistols. With a few exceptions (the CZ 75 being one), you had to choose between those two or, in the last few decades, the striker-fired designs. Police departments had to choose something, and having chosen, their officers were locked out of other options. Non-sworn CPL holders had more choices, but often opted for what the local PD used.
Hey everyone, Im looking for a new gun mainly for home defense and occasional carry. But Im looking for something a little different than what I have. I currently have an XDm 9mm compact that I CC, so I'm thinking bigger caliber so more than likely go 40 as the gun in 45 is a lot more expensive it seems. I have not really read much about FNH's, but the reviews I have read have all been positive. So just wondering about you guys personal opinion either from use or which you have seen/read to fill me in. Another option I was thinking of is to just go with another XDm but in 40 this way I can use my same holsters and mag holders. This option would save me money, but takes the fun out of having and trying something different. I will be going and renting one at the range this weekend, so I'd love to hear some thoughts and opinions before I try it out for my self.Thanks.
Hey dudes,
I'm thinking about purchasing a FN FNX-40. Does anyone have any experience with FN firearms, specifically their hammer pistols? I've held the FNS and FNX at my local gun dealer. I liked the FNX. It's $550 at my local shop so not to bad. I'm going to use it as a daily CCW. I've been carrying an XD 9. I like the XD but I'm selling it to a friend. Good gun or should I steer clear?
Thanks
